What we did
Personal carbon footprints are difficult to understand and often overwhelming for the average person - but it's the essential starting point for making positive, informed choices on our own personal impact.

By making a quiz that's quick, with animations, confetti, friendly styling, and an instant shareable badge and results page, we've made it easy and fun - it's so fun that users take the test several times to see how different factors will impact their footprint.
The quiz stores data in Supabase, and we've also got a suite of reporting tools to help us and out clients understand usage and footprint stats, as well as a simple API and whitelabel scheme for clients to get more engaged with climate change.

Users are looking for specific choices and swaps to make - but what difference do they really make? It's not easy to find the scattered data and research about the impact of common items and actions. We built a beautifully illustrated list of common items and their carbon footprints, which has been a great landing page and resource for users looking for the next step (after finding their personal footprint in the 2-min quiz).

We're always looking for ways to improve our services and engage with more people. Among other things, we've built custom branded quiz and badge experiences, live conference dashboards, a workplace point scheme, a calculator that shows the world's CO2 concentration when you were born, and a "coffee" menu, with the footprint of your favourite beverages.
It's hard to get people engaged with complex scientific data.
We're always building tools and apps to reach more people in different ways!
The Results
The carbon footprint quiz has had over 130,000 submissions as of Feb 2026. Clients include NBA, Docusign, Salesforce and ServiceNow.
