The XSive
Donation and membership platform for a volunteer-run comedy club, letting fans back shows with one-off gifts or an XSive membership with perks.
XS Malarkey asked me to build a way for its most dedicated fans to support the club beyond the door price, without turning membership into a two-tier system or asking anyone to pay more than they can.
What we did
To enable their members to access affordable tickets into the future, XS wanted to create a higher 'tier' of membership which is entirely optional and won't make regular members feel left out.
XSive is a members-only platform, built with SvelteKit and gated with Stripe subscription payments, showing footage from the shows and behind the scenes, as well as a few extras like physical merch, access to exclusive chatrooms, and more.
The Results
XSive gives XS Malarkey's fans a straightforward way to support the club with a one-off donation or a paid membership, without touching the price of a ticket on the door.
Built with SvelteKit and Stripe Checkout for both one-off payments and subscriptions, with a lightweight Supabase-backed admin area for managing posts, pages and subscribers. The club now has a self-serve way to grow membership revenue without adding to the volunteer team's admin load.
